What we do

In partnership with San Mateo County’s Office of Community Affairs, the Society of Heart’s Delight provides culturally responsive outreach—through workshops, bilingual materials, and trusted messengers—to help Chinese-speaking residents access vital services, health information, and civic opportunities with confidence and dignity.

Bridges to Belonging, a new initiative by the Society of Heart’s Delight, fosters dialogue and understanding between Chinese immigrants and other community groups in Santa Clara County to build trust, strengthen relationships, and lay the groundwork for a future Chinese Community Center.

This initiative bridges communication gaps between Chinese immigrants and public safety resources through bilingual outreach, dialogue, and collaboration to address safety concerns such as hate crimes, bullying, and domestic or sexual violence.

“Chinese Immigrants in Silicon Valley and Beyond” is a bilingual photoblog by the Society of Heart’s Delight that shares authentic immigrant stories to celebrate diversity, counter stereotypes, and foster cross-cultural understanding through narratives, events, and community engagement.

Bridge to Wellness, a community initiative by the Society of Heart’s Delight, promotes mental health awareness and access to culturally responsive support for Chinese immigrants and other underserved communities in the Bay Area through education, dialogue, and partnerships with local health organizations.
